Monitoring the Intangibles
Make sure to monitor personal parameters such as energy level and demeanor. It is important to note these changes as well.
Please write down your observations and bring this information to your next appointment.
Keeping A Diary Of Your Pet's Activities
While your pet is receiving holistic care, it is important to monitor for changes in his/her behavior, attitude, etc. Below is a list of some specifics to watch for. In addition, we recommend keeping a diary. This will allow you to write down any changes on a day-to-day basis that may over time, become significant. Many problems start with very subtle signs that may be missed otherwise.
Specific Signs To Monitor
- Does your pet have a temperature preference? Does he/she prefer warmer or cooler temperatures?
- Has there been any vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, or sneezing? If so, does it occur at any particular time of day or is it associated with any activity such as eating or going out for walks?
- Does your pet seem sore or pained in any way? If so, does it occur at any particular time of day or is it associated with any activity such as eating or going out for walks?
- Is your pet sleeping well?
- Has there been any change in water or food consumption - either up or down?
- What is your overall impression of how your pet is doing?
- Have any new symptoms developed since your last visit?
